Cant find all downloaded files in windows file explorer

Fairly annoying problem, as it means I have to remember to back these files up by hand to an SD card instead of doing a Windows Search for all files modified today, then dragging the whole group to the card. Equally of concern, it means I have no idea how Search actually behaves. Is it missing other types of files that I don't know about?
